Troop 175 embarked on an unforgettable journey to the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico from June 20 to July 4. The crew tackled rugged terrain and breathtaking landscapes, hiking through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Along the way, they learned essential wilderness survival skills, engaged in team-building activities, and embraced the spirit of adventure. Highlights of the trip included summiting Mount Phillips and the iconic Tooth of Time, navigating the backcountry trails, and participating in Philmont’s renowned living history programs and conservation projects. This high adventure trek fostered camaraderie, resilience, and a profound appreciation for the great outdoors, leaving the scouts and adult advisors with memories that will last a lifetime.
