Troop 175 embarked on a challenging and rewarding hiking adventure to Mount Greylock, MA, from April 19-21. The troop trained for their upcoming hike to Mount Washington by tackling the highest point in Massachusetts, with a summit elevation of 3,491 feet. Scouts enjoyed breathtaking views and a strenuous hike along a portion of the Appalachian Trail. The journey provided an excellent opportunity for conditioning and skill-building. The troop also camped at Mount Greylock Campsite Park before and after the hike, fostering camaraderie and outdoor skills. This adventure was a perfect blend of physical challenge and natural beauty, leaving the scouts well-prepared and excited for their future hiking endeavors.
