Troop 175 braved the winds and rains during its Spring Camp-out to Newport, Rhode Island, from March 22-24. The troop stayed at the historic Fort Adams, where they explored its ramparts and secret tunnels. Scouts and parents hiked the world-famous Cliff Walk Trail, enjoying views of Newport’s majestic mansions and castles. The highlight of the trip was a visit to the US Navy War College, where scouts were divided into two teams for a naval war-gaming exercise hosted by the museum staff. Strategic thinking and nerves of steel led to a WIN for the Blue Forces. We also welcomed many new scouts on this memorable trip.
