This April, Troop 175 returned to Tuckerman’s Ravine, located on the east face of Mount Washington in the scenic White Mountains of NH. Staying the first night in a hotel Gorham NH, the hiking began early Saturday morning as they loaded up day packs, hand out bag lunches, and then began the roughly 3 hour hike up 2,468’ to the ravine base. Here they enjoyed the mountain setting as well as some of the last sledding/skiing opportunities in New England.
After a day of challenging hiking in the ravine, the group returned to the hotel where many scouts took advantage of the heated indoor swimming pool and hot tub as a reward for a successful climb.
