Troop 175 Returns to Tuckerman’s Ravine

TuckermansThis April, Troop 175 returned to Tuckerman’s Ravine, located on the east face of Mount Washington in the scenic White Mountains of NH. Staying the first night in a hotel Gorham NH, the hiking began early Saturday morning as they loaded up day packs, hand out bag lunches, and then began the roughly 3 hour hike up 2,468’ to the ravine base. Here they enjoyed the mountain setting as well as some of the last sledding/skiing opportunities in New England.

After a day of challenging hiking in the ravine, the group returned to the hotel where many scouts took advantage of the heated indoor swimming pool and hot tub as a reward for a successful climb.
